My Approach Samara is a licensed clinical social worker with a depth of experience working with survivors of trauma, working with women and marginalized groups. When working with her clients, Samara utilizes a variety of trauma informed approaches that is rooted in cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and strengths-based framework. She has had intensive training in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and has received an Advanced Clinical Supervision Certificate from Smith College School of Social Work. Education & Training Samara earned her Master's Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Family Systems from Wayne State University. Prior to that time, she received her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Women's Studies from the University of Michigan. Clinical Interests Samara has worked with multiple populations to cope with anxiety, depression, grief and adult child trauma concerns. She enjoys working with women, survivors of sexual abuse, faith/ spirituality, and family work. Additionally, Samara provides clinical supervision to BSW and MSW students pursuing their full licensure.
